Offline license activation
Requirements
• An entitlement certificate with entitlement ID and/or product key for a software product available
within ZEISS Quality Suite.
• For Dongle bound license activation: The dongle is connected to your computer.
• There is an external storage device for saving the activation response file or an internal server
connection to another computer.
• You have access to another computer with an internet connection.
Procedure
1. Run the ZEISS Quality Suite.
2. In the main toolbar, click 
.
The list of functions opens.
3. Click the Activate License button (
).
Set to offline activation if not automatically set.
4. Click the Start Button.
5. In the License key section, add the entitlement ID or the product key.

During the offline activation, you can either add PC-bound or Dongle-bound licenses. Adding both at
the same time is not possible, as they cannot be mixed.
6. Click the Add button.
The license is added to the table.
7. Click 
to delete the license product or the entitlement.
8. Click the Next button.
9. In the Choose license type section, select PC bound or Dongle bound for the license activation.
With each activation, only products on one dongle can be activated.
10. Click the Next button.
11. In the Storage location section, click 
.
12. Select the location to save the activation request file.
13. Click the Transfer button.
The activation request file is generated.
14. In the File generated section, click To file.
15. Drag and drop the activation request file to the external storage device or to the internal server.
16. Switch to a computer with internet access.
17. Open the website https://portal.zeiss.com/software-license/activation.
18. Drag and drop the activation request file from the external storage device or from the internal server into the designated field.
19. Click the Submit button.
20. In the History section, click Download
.
21. Save the activation response file on the external storage device or on the internal server.
22. Switch to the first computer.
23. Click the Import button.
24. Drag and drop the activation response file from the external storage device or from the internal server into the designated field.
25. Click the Activate button.
The license is being activated. Wait until the activation is finished.
26. Click the Finish button.
27. Check the license in the License Overview.

Your license is successfully activated.
